Big Eyed FridaMy loving portrait of Mexican, visionary art, Frida Kahlo. Geared for the world of adult colouring. |
Brass swirly skull cuff.I designed a series of jewellery items using laser technology, the detail level is surprising, the technology relatively inexpensive. |
Colourful butterflies.I designed this colourful repeat print in a combination of Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop. The range of colours and detail now available for digital printing make it ideal for display and textile related projects. |
Dark butterflies.I designed this in a combination of Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop, it is a fully repeatable print. |
Digital syprograph.I detail of a print for heavy canvas material. |
Digital Tie-Die print on silk.I designed this in a combination of Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop, it is a fully repeatable print. I made custom brushes in Adobe Illustrator to create a "digital tie-dye" look. I have real samples, but have just uploaded the art here. |
Digital zebra print on nylon.I designed this fully repeatable print in Adobe Illustrator. |
Disney lunch tote.A more colourful take on the iconic mouse ears. Part of some development I did for a fresh look for Disney licensed lunch totes. |
Disney lunch tote.Another Disney lunch tote using extremely inexpensive materials, I improvised the grommet detail. |
Disney lunch tote.I developed an entire line of lunch totes for Disney: they loved them, and of course, the sales people at the bag company hated them...said they were "too obtuse". The challenge I gave myself, make inexpensive bags for lunch that have some freshness while still respecting the logo and the integrity of the brand. |
Double Cameo image.Maybe I'm a little obsessed with this idea. I like the contrast between new and old. |
Elephants with pearl.A little necklace with little elephants tugging at a pearl. |
Fashion Cares image. This costume was designed by Toronto's "Hoax Couture" for Fashion Cares. The photo appeared in a book at the event. I worked with photographer Christoff Strube and Philip Ing for this image in the book, I reworked the image in Photoshop to give it more height than the ladder provided. |
French court lady.Done in a playful but detailed style for my adult colouring project. It's the essence of how I love to draw. |
Ghost children on chair.A simple but fine tuned technique of flipping old photos to create ghostly images. |
Ghost children triplets.Taken from my collection of Victorian and Edwardian photos, it's fun making ghosts. |
Japanese paper lamp.A more personal piece with a nod to an era I love. |
M·A·C blot powder. With a definite nod to "the mother ship landing". |
M·A·C Creme colour.I used very basic shots, then took them into Photoshop for digital reworking. I wanted to show the product in an unexpected way, highlighting the colour aspect, and giving them a slightly unearthly look. |
M·A·C LASHQUARADE.Economical and minimal, these swizzle stick style lash "eye masks" were a special project I concept developed for M·A·C. |
M·A·C lipglass. This first shot, was the inspiration for all the other photo illustrations I did for MAC, though not as extreme as the others, it has a simple elegance. |
M·A·C lipmixOne of the many product photo-illustrations I did for M·A·C as press cards. |
M·A·C pigment. With over 16 press cards that I developed for MAC, I needed each card to have it's own narrative and movement. Thanks James, for making that easier. |
M·A·C PRO Promotion card. This card was designed for make-up professionals to promote the M·A·C concept PRO stores. For this savvy group I thought that "tongue in cheek" was the way to go, making reference to old time make-up artist, Way Bandy. I defaced images for a fun and playful take on the profession of make-up artist. |
M·A·C Stellar Nail polish.Inspired by the simplicity of 1950ies advertising and a very low budget, I used a manikin hand and lots of photoshop retouching to create this image. We really did not have much of a budget back then. |
M·A·C Trek nail polish. With a bit of a "thing" feeling from the Adams family, this image was composed from a very simple photo of a manikin's hand. I wanted the colour of the nail polish to be the real focus and everything else to fade into the background. |
Paris dog walkers.Silly and fun with girls walking dogs. I did this illustration as an extension of a jewellery line for printed totes. |
Spanish lace bracelet.Using Adobe Illustrator I created a series of fine detailed accessories with the help of laser guided cutting techniques. |
Spliced Cameo, the four graces.I am currently working on a series of cameos that are inspired by splitting cells. So far, I have not gone beyond 3D CADS. It's a process of casting from 3D models, easy to get done, but I'm still playing, the one hand carved model I had done was not so perfect. |
Spliced Cameo.I am currently working on a series of cameos that are inspired by splitting cells. So far, I have not gone beyond 3D CADS. |
Sterling silver swirly skull cuff.I designed a series of jewellery items using laser technology, the detail level is surprising and relatively inexpensive. |
Stop, Look, Glisten.A concept piece for M·A·C actually shot with the model lying on a board over a child's wading pool filled with coloured water and flowers. It was for a product launch, an iridescent powder. |
Supreme Soul yoga tote.Slightly silly, this yoga tote was made in a majority sport mesh-(the stuff you find on running shoes) giving the bag a spongy/sporty fell with ironic/iconic OM graphics. |
Symbolets counter display, Eaton's CanadaMy ambitious project, Symbolets was an incredible success at a now defunct department store "Eaton's". This photo shows the Eaton Centre, counter set-up, I developed to promote the product. Playful and colourful, it really jumped out from its environment. I also enjoyed bettr sales per sq. ft then Swarovski |
Tiny crowns on tiny pearls.Set with 1mm rubies, the effect is a little more subtle in real life. |
Who's a pretty kitty?Silly and fun, this post card was designed for a M·A·C colour launch called, "Kool Kat Collection". I used a piece of 1950's collectible ceramics and had it shot, I then re-assembled the shot in Photoshop. I think this piece is a good reflection of my sensibility and the fun and whimsical side of M·A·C |
